Slow Foods - Amalfi Coast Tour
Sorrento Coast, Capri, Naples, Pompeii, Gragnano, Sorrento, Amalfi, Ravello
Campania is a land rich in culture, music, history, architecture and archeological sites. This tour will bring participants to the Island of Capri, the most picturesque and visited locations in Campania; Naples, with its castles and noble palaces, but also the city where the pizza in its modern form and taste was conceived; to Pompeii, the ancient Roman town buried in 79 AD by a massive eruption of Mount Vesuvius; to Sorrento, the lively seaside resort home to the famous Limoncello, along the celebrated Amalfi Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage site where there are a series of mountainside towns that seem to tumble into the sea, and wonderful Positano. Campania is also a land with a rich gastronomy that has its roots in the fresh local produce; the Romans knew the region as Campania Felix, which translates into English as “fertile countryside”, and there is a real wealth of genuine, rich food to be discovered here.
