No. We provide a comprehensive, conceptual itinerary proposal at no cost and with no obligation. We believe our deep-rooted expertise since 1998 speaks for itself, allowing you to see the Ciao Tours difference before committing to your journey.
To secure your bespoke Mediterranean journey, a 25% deposit is required once the itinerary and pricing are finalized. The remaining 75% balance is due 60 days prior to your departure date. This schedule allows us to finalize all private transfers, boutique stays, and exclusive experiences well in advance.
Standard packages are rigid, "off-the-shelf" products often shared with large groups. A Ciao Tours bespoke journey is architected specifically for you. It is a one-of-a-kind itinerary built around your pace, interests, and preferred style of boutique accommodation, backed by nearly three decades of local relationships.
After your initial consultation with our Calgary-based design team, we typically deliver a detailed conceptual proposal within 3 to 5 business days. This allows our experts enough time to vet logistics and ensure the "flow" of your Mediterranean route is perfect.
Absolutely. The initial proposal is a starting point. We work collaboratively with you to refine every detail—from the number of nights in a city to the specific type of cooking class—until the itinerary matches your vision exactly.
Destinations & Services
We focus our expertise on the land-based portion of your journey to ensure total quality control. While we manage all regional and domestic flights within the Mediterranean (e.g., Rome to Athens), clients book their own international long-haul flights. If you require assistance with your international airfare, we are happy to refer you to a trusted partner travel agent who can manage those bookings for you.
Yes. Part of our consultative design process involves understanding your specific dietary requirements. We leverage our local knowledge to vet restaurants, coordinate with boutique hotels, and ensure our cooking classes and wine tastings are fully equipped to cater to your needs across the Mediterranean.
